House Republican introduces companion bill to end China's buying of American farmland

SPECIAL: Republicans Assembly, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in American agricultural lands, growing up -to -up actors are directly targeting the actor.
Fox News specially for Digital, Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley’s “To protect our farms and our homes from the Chinese Law” on Thursday morning or HR 840, “To save American farms from the Competitors Law.”
The legislation is part of a growing GOP pressure to prevent CCP from buying US agricultural lands and homes.
“Dear American land is not sold to our enemies,” Fox News said to Digital. He said.
Hawley moves to prevent China from buying US agricultural areas as Trump manager gives alarm
“The Chinese Communist Party is the greatest threat to our national security, and the aggressive driving challenges of our agricultural fields and houses are a direct attack on our sovereignty. It has been a long time when we take control of America’s food supply and communities in the American hands,” he added.
The bill comes in the midst of the growing footprint in Beijing’s American markets and real estate.
According to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Chinese organizations currently have approximately 265,000 acres of American agricultural land. This number launched alarm bells for MPs and voters.
The Trump administration is acting decisively to prevent American agricultural areas’ armed ‘China’
“For a long time, foreign competitors have benefited from our agricultural areas. Although USDA does not have the authority to prevent the purchase of agricultural land by foreign nationals, we are working to actively increase the accuracy of foreign agricultural land reports to have the relevant data required to make informed policy decisions by public, congress and state governments.”
“This is just one of the many actions mentioned in our last national farm security action plan to defend the homeland.”
Miller’s bill closely follows Hawley’s Senate version. The proposal will prohibit Chinese companies and people affiliated to the CCP from purchasing or leasing any agricultural land in the USA.
“China’s ownership of US agricultural lands is a direct threat to American interests,” Hawley said. He said. He continued: “We should never allow the largest enemy of our country, including our housing supply, to access our vital resources. So I re -introduce the legislation to protect American assets from once and for everyone.”
In addition, for two years, the same organizations will prohibit the purchasing of the US housing real estate and the president’s ban is the option to extend the ban every two years. Organizations already with such a property will have to be disposed of from the draft law within one year.
The legislation to implement compliance imposes civilized fines: $ 100 per day for illegal agricultural assets and $ 1,000 per day for housing real estate violations. Among the criminal penalties are up to five years of prison.
The land acquired by violating the law will be subject to loss and will be sold at the public auction.
The bill also invalidates non -competitive agreements including foreign agricultural employers and sets up harmony offices to control compliance within the enforcement and trade departments.
The Chief Public Prosecutor shall have the authority to search for court decisions to seize assets and to stop violations. Miller’s pressure is compatible with President Donald Trump’s new “National Farm Safety Action Plan”, directed by Trump officials such as Brooke Rollins, Pete Hegseth, Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem.
The plan aims to protect US food systems and agricultural areas from what Trump calls “foreign exploitation”.
Miller’s bill will be released on Friday with a dozen republican joint sponsor.
According to Miller’s office, representatives of the legislation are Pat Harrigan, Ralph Norman, Paul Gosar, Bob Onder, Marlin Stutzman, Tim Burchett, Randy Weber, Tom Tiffany, Andy Harris, Tony Wied, Michael Rulli and Eli Cran.
The Senate version was introduced by Hawley last week. It aims to both agricultural lands and housing properties, including Miller’s House invoice, including houses, condemnation and residential development.
