Charlie Javice reportedly seeking a pardon from Trump

Charlie Javice convicted of fraud JPMorgan Chase seeks pardon from Trump administration after selling his company Wall StreetJournal It was reported on Sunday.

Javice founded a startup called Frank, which JPMorgan acquired for $175 million in 2021.

Last year, Frank was sentenced to more than seven years in prison for defrauding the bank by exaggerating the number of customers he had. He is appealing the decision.

Frank, which helps users apply for college financial aid, said it has more than 4 million customers but actually has fewer than 300,000, according to JPMorgan.

The Trump administration is considering a wave of 250 pardons to mark the United States’ 250th birthday, the Journal previously reported.

A Javice spokesperson declined to comment to CNBC, and JPMorgan did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the report.
