Eagle-eyed fans spot this nod to Taylor Swift in photo of King Charles

King Charles chose to wear an unusual accessory for his royal appearance at this year’s Joining the Colors parade.
Wearing his traditional red uniform, the King was photographed wearing two rather unusual handmade bracelets as he waved to the crowd from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
The colorful accessories are understood to be a gift from her 11-year-old granddaughter, Princess Charlotte, who is her own Swiftie.
Handmade friendship bracelets were the main theme of Taylor Swift’s latest record-breaking global Eras tour, based on a line from her 2022 hit You’re On Your Own Kid.
The fashion choice has since attracted public attention as it blends a personal family gesture with the ceremonial gravity of the event to celebrate the monarch’s official birthday.
The family has previously shown interest in the A-list artist; Prince William had taken his daughter and eldest son to one of the tour’s London performances in 2024; Here the royal family was photographed with the stars.
This isn’t the first time a member of the Royal Family has been caught wearing a Swiftie bracelet; Prince William was spotted wearing this bracelet during his trip to South Africa in 2024.
The Royal Family were met with mixed reactions at this year’s parade, with protesters chanting ‘Not My King’.
Members of anti-monarchy group Republic mocked Princess Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they strolled along The Mall. Charlotte and George exchanged a few worried glances as the Princess of Wales looked at the protesters.
The Trooping of the Color is held every June to mark the monarch’s official birthday, and the Horse Guards Parade in central London features more than 1,400 soldiers, hundreds of horses and military musicians.
