Horror moment mum grabs chainsaw after bin row turns violent | World | News

Wild footage captured the moment a neighborhood dispute over a series of bin disputes went into overdrive, when a woman dressed in heels and a party dress opted to bring a chainsaw to the garbage row.

Jolon, 21, and her neighbor Danielle live on a shared block in Melbourne, Australia. Jolon, who lives in the flat at the front of the property, keeps the bins at the edge of the shared driveway, opposite the fence line.

Her neighbor Danielle claims this blocked access to her car. Thereupon, the mother of three children got angry and started leaving notes in the trash cans.

“We kept them in the common area, but they were flush with the fences, so we thought everyone was fine, but he kept sending these notes until my mum came home one day and found the bins dumped in the driveway,” Jolon told A Current Affair.

Cameras were soon installed in the front unit to catch the bin bandit, and neighbor Danielle was soon caught on camera moving the bins from the garden bed next to the driveway to Jolon’s family’s side.

“Then I woke up and realized the trash cans were in the back of my mom’s car. I had moved them and she did that multiple times throughout the day, we moved them back and we had to access the driveway,” Jolon said.

The trash line went into overdrive when Danielle found bins chained to trees along the fence line where Jolon’s family always left them, thwarting any attempt to remove the trash from the garden bed and return it to Jolon’s part of the property.

Apparently chaining the trash cans into place was the final straw for Danielle. Jolon soon noticed the angry mother of three walking down the shared driveway, wearing a party dress and high heels, carrying a chainsaw. The whole fiasco was caught on camera by Jolon, which aired on Australia’s Nine channel on Monday night.

Footage spread across the country on Monday showed an ugly argument in which two women screamed and were both at their wits end. As Danielle holds the power tool against the trunk of the tree, near the handles of the bin, Jolon can be heard screaming at her to stop as she tries to block his progress.

“I immediately asked him, ‘Why are you chopping down the tree?’ I asked. Then he began to cut not the chains, but the trees to which the boxes were chained.

“You’re in front of me, move,” Danielle can be heard shouting in the shocking iPhone footage, adding: “Put your bin up so we can put the car in. Just put the bins away!”

Jolon is heard asking: “What are you doing?”

The 21-year-old man can be heard repeatedly telling his neighbor to stop.

“I didn’t know what else to do to stop him,” Jolon told A Current Affair on Monday. “I was putting my hand on the side of the chainsaw and he kept holding my arm.

“Then he started cutting the handles of the garbage cans.”

Officers from Victoria Police eventually arrived and police are now investigating the matter.

Speaking to ACA, Jolon stated that the situation has escalated further since then and claimed that the mother of three children has now started to use tactics similar to guerrilla pressure.

Jolon said the mother of three was seen on security cameras at 3.30am with her car windows closed and music playing. His frustrated neighbor also invested in a set of stereo speakers placed in strategic locations on his side of the property, playing music at full volume for hours.

The 21-year-old man told the Australian public on Monday that his neighbor was now playing opera music or children’s songs on repeat in an apparent effort to ward off his enemies. Jolon said the popular children’s song “Baby Shark” is a frequently used song in his neighbor’s music library.

Interestingly, in 2019, Baby Shark was used as a form of sonic torture against inmates in an Oklahoma prison in the US; inmates reported that officers handcuffed inmates on the spot and blasted “Baby Shark” on a continuous loop for hours. Following a federal civil rights lawsuit, prison officers resigned and were later criminally charged for their actions.

It has also been widely documented that interrogators at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp liked to use the same tactic to psychologically break detainees buried on the prison island; Barney the Dinosaur’s “I Love You” was reportedly his favorite torture track.

As for Jolon and Danielle, it appears that Danielle has now blocked access to the garden bed next to the shared driveway with sandboxes and other debris.
