King’s major intervention to get Prince Harry, Meghan and kids to UK | Royal | News

King Charles has allegedly offered to help meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s security arrangements when they return to the UK next month. Prince Harry has long condemned the decision to downgrade his security after he resigned as senior royal staffer and moved to the US with his family in 2020.

In May the King’s youngest son lost a case to restore police protection when he visited the UK. In an interview with the BBC following the verdict, Harry said the result meant it was not safe to bring his family back to the UK because he could not guarantee their safety.

But the monarch is said to have intervened and offered his own resources to ensure the safety of the family of four when they return to England next month. According to Sun.

In December, it was claimed that Harry’s access to security while visiting the UK was under review. However, no changes to the regulations were made public.

A government spokesman said: “The UK government’s protective security system is rigorous and proportionate.

“It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information about these arrangements as doing so could compromise their integrity and impact the safety of individuals.”

However, it is understood the Sussexes’ five-day visit in July was made possible by changing and approving security arrangements.

However, Sussex’s Buckingham Palace has not officially confirmed this.

While Harry has made several solo trips to the UK over the past few years, Meghan has remained firmly on US soil. And their two children have not visited for four years, having last arrived for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the summer of 2022.

But he spoke of his desire to bring his two children back to his country of birth and make amends with his family.

It is not yet clear whether Harry and his family will meet the King while in England.
