Heavy security arrangements have been implemented in the national capital as the Cockroach Janta Party will hold its second protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, June 20, 2026 and the police will impose extensive surveillance and crowd control measures, officials said.

The protest, led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, is scheduled to begin at 1 pm amid increased police presence as supporters arrive from different parts of Delhi and neighboring states.

Officials said authorities had given permission for the demonstration.

According to officials, CCTV cameras were installed in and around the protest venue to monitor the meeting in real time. According to officials, approximately 270 body-worn cameras will be used by police personnel deployed in the area to ensure transparency and document transactions.

They said Delhi Police cameramen were also deployed at the venue to record the protest and monitor developments on the ground.

Multi-layered barricades were placed around Jantar Mantar and adjoining roads and vehicles were checked at key entry and exit points in the city as part of preventive measures.

Police sources said senior Delhi Police officers, including senior officials, have been assigned to field duties to monitor regulations and maintain law and order. Reserve forces were also kept ready to combat any adverse situation.

“Delhi Police has made adequate arrangements and we appeal to the protesters to maintain peace and cooperate with law enforcement agencies,” a senior official said.

Officials said the Special Branch is closely monitoring developments at the protest site as well as related activities on social media.

It has also been strengthened as a security measure at major transportation hubs, including the Indira Gandhi International Airport, railway stations, interstate bus terminals and border points.

Officials added that while metro services will continue to operate normally, traffic diversions have been planned in some parts of central Delhi depending on the size of the gathering.

On June 15, Mr. Dipke was repeatedly slapped and manhandled by miscreants while being carried on the shoulders of fans during a protest in Jaipur.

The HCJ, which started as a satirical online campaign following the remarks made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant at last month’s hearing, has since turned into an organized protest platform and attracted great attention on social media.
