Chaos at Delhi Flipkart Creator Fest Over Gift Hampers
Flipkart’s Glam Up Fest 2026, a large-scale beauty and influencer event held at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam, has come under scrutiny after videos showing attendees scrambling for gift hampers went viral on social media.
The two-day event, held on June 19 and 20, brought together more than 6,000 creators and over 100 beauty brands. The festival saw celebrity appearances from actors Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor and was largely well received in its debut sessions.
However, an argument broke out during the distribution of gift baskets at the end of the event. Viral videos showed crowds rushing towards stacks of gift bags, with some attendees engaging in verbal altercations and pushing items to secure them.
Several creators claimed that the baskets were promised as part of barter collaborations in exchange for social media content. Many claimed that the stock ran out before all eligible participants could receive their gifts.
Event attendees criticized the lack of coordination in the gift basket distribution process, with some claiming event staff were not available to manage crowds or address complaints. At the same time, many creators blamed participants’ behavior, arguing that the disorder was made worse by individuals attempting to pack multiple bags.
Despite the controversy, many participants reported positive experiences and said they received their carts without any problems.
Flipkart has not yet made an official statement about the incident.
