ANZ announces Saturday trading at 27 branches across the country

One of Australia’s big four banks will introduce Saturday trading hours for around 30 branches across the country.
On Monday, ANZ announced plans to expand Saturday trading hours to 27 branches in high-demand locations from June 27.
ANZ Australian Retail group director Pedro Redia said the move would make a “huge difference” to families and professionals who find themselves connected throughout the week.
“For many customers, including young professionals, families and small business owners, having a local branch open on Saturday makes a big difference,” Mr. Redia said.
“This is about making banking relevant to our customers’ lives, not the other way around.

“By opening more branches on Saturdays, we are giving our customers more time to talk to us face-to-face about the things that really matter to them, without the pressure of squeezing them into a busy weekday.
“This extension will make it easier for customers to visit a branch, meet with our expert teams and make important financial decisions at a time that is more convenient to them.”
Branches open on Saturdays will offer services such as mortgage loans, relationship banking and expert support, but over-the-counter services such as deposits and withdrawals will not be available.
Victoria; Chadstone is where the most branches operate on Saturdays, with 14 locations including Bourke St Home, Richmond, Box Hill and Epping.
Six NSW branches will also open on Saturday, including Bankstown, Eastgardens, Rouse Hill and Macarthur Square; Two branches will be opened each in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
ACT’s Gungahlin branch will also join the list.
