Rep. Ro Khanna of California argued Saturday that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk will need to be investigated for “4.5 million children” who are “probably on death row” for his spending cuts.

“I believe there needs to be accountability when we take power,” Khanna said on the “I Did It” podcast. “Elon Musk needs to be held accountable. You know, they’re celebrating him creating 4,400 millionaires, but they’re not talking about the 4.5 million children around the world he probably condemned to death by dismantling USAID.”

Host Jennifer Welch agreed with the idea of an investigation, claiming Musk was responsible for DOGE’s “killing” of millions through government spending cuts.

“I just love that we need to continue to push the talking point that we don’t need to celebrate Elon Musk making other people millionaires. If you’re a pro-life party like you say, MAGA is killing millions of the poorest people on that planet,” Welch said. “So I think the hypocrisy there is really quite surprising.”
