In an article for The Guardian on Thursday, Streeting said that the decision to force BMA to up to 2023-24 and 2024-25 was unreasonable and unlikely to force new strikes immediately after a wage increase.

The health secretary also sent a personal letter to the resident doctors: “Now I deeply regret the position we found ourselves.” Although the authorized cannot commit a greater wage increase, he added that he is determined to progress to improve their working life.
