Manipur CM reduces summer vacation to one week due to law and order, discusses NEP 2020 reforms

He attended the inaugural ceremony of a three-day workshop on “Reforms in Manipur School Education: An Approach to Implementation, Challenges and Opportunities of NEP-2020”. The workshop was organized by Vidya Bharati Shiksha Vikash Samiti, Manipur at Imphal City Convention Centre.
Quoting Nelson Mandela on the importance of education, Singh said that education is one of the most powerful tools that will change the world.
He noted that the normal functioning of educational institutions and government offices was disrupted for about a month following the Tronglaobi incident. As a result, Saturdays were declared working days for all government offices in order to make up for lost time.
He added that after the completion of the work, Saturdays will be considered as holidays.
On the successful implementation of NEP 2020, the Prime Minister said that everyone is equally responsible and the task should not be left to the government alone. He said the policy can be implemented successfully only if the government, employees and the public work together with strong determination.
Manipur Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel said India aims to become a fully developed nation by the 100th year of Independence, guided by the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. He said that the National Education Policy 2020 was an important driving force in this journey, in which teachers and education stakeholders play an important role in shaping the future of the country.
Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra President Professor Ganga Prasad Prasain, VI. He said that right from class, students should be introduced to skill development and vocational courses along with regular academic subjects. The aim is to give them practical skills and increase their chances of becoming self-employed in the future.
