Tension Grips Medak as Rivalry Claims 2 Lives
Hyderabad: Two people, one of whom was an elderly person, were killed in a fight that broke out in Suraram village of Medak district.
While tension prevailed in the village after the two murder incidents, the police dispatched additional force to prevent any untoward incident.
A villager Prabhakar, with the help of his friend, ambushed and killed his rival Sridhar while he was going to another village. Angered by this, Sridhar’s family members went to Prabhakar’s house to attack him on Monday midnight.
When they realized that Prabhakar was not at home, they attacked his father Yadagiri and killed him.
The killing of two people as a result of the attack and counter-attack created tension in the village. Upon being informed, the police arrived at the scene and dispatched a reinforcement team to prevent any incident.
