Duvvada Srinivas denies remarks against Pawan Kalyan, says video was AI-made to defame him

YSR Congress Party MLC Duvvada Srinivas on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, alleged that Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu targeted him and made him file a case with the police and harass him for exposing the Minister’s scams in rice procurement and other matters.

Mr. Srinivas was questioned by the police at Kotturu police station till late on Monday, June 22, 2026, for his alleged remarks against Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan. Mr Srinivas denied the allegations and said a video was made using artificial intelligence to defame him politically.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Mr. Srinivas said that he had never made any derogatory remarks against Mr. Pawan Kalyan or other leaders. He alleged that Mr Atchannaidu abused his powers and targeted Opposition Kalinga and Kapu community leaders.

The police asked him to appear for a second round of questioning on July 27, 2026. While Mr. Srinivas said he would cooperate, he asked the police not to make false accusations at the behest of influential people.
