Beloved British leisure retailer HMV is set to make a triumphant return to a UK city with a brand new store opening this week.
The iconic brand will open a new store at Meadows Shopping Center in the coming days.
The arrival of the new store in Chelmsford marks an exciting return to the region for HMV, after the company fell into administration in 2018.
The retailer previously operated a store in High Chelmer Shopping Centre, which will close its doors in 2024 after more than two decades of trading.
This store hosted many important music names at its doors, including Eurovision star Sam Ryder.
The new location will open its doors to shoppers on Friday, June 26.
The 3,930 square meter unit will stock more than 20,000 different products and will transform the way fans discover music, film and TV with an unrivaled selection spanning pop culture products, music, technology and literature.
Customers will be able to browse more than 3,000 vinyl albums, as well as 5,500 movies and TV shows available in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
A wide range of collectibles across popular series such as Star Wars, KPop Demon Hunters and Funko POP will also be available.
At the grand opening, the first 25 customers to make a purchase will receive a special gift bag filled with must-have pop culture items.
