Government school teacher arrested under POCSO Act in Kallakurichi

Kallakurichi All Women Police on Wednesday arrested a teacher under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act on charges of sexually harassing five girl students at a government tribal residential school in Vellimalai. It was stated that the arrested teacher was Suresh.

Police sources, IX at the school. He said that several students studying in the class accused the mathematics teacher Suresh of sexually harassing them. They complained to Singappen Special Forces who visited the boarding school during an awareness program held two days ago.
