Reward offered for missing giraffe on the loose

Authorities are offering a huge reward for the missing giraffe.
The Real County Animal Rescue Shelter in Texas asked the public to be wary of a stray animal after the long-necked creature named Gracie managed to escape from a farm.
In a post simply titled “MISSING GIRAFFE,” the organization said: “A Giraffe named ‘Gracie’ is missing from Cedar Hollow Farm. She has round ears.”
Officials said he was last “seen on a game camera west of Leakey.”
Meanwhile, a large reward is being offered for any information leading to his “safe return”.
They added: “Owner is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the capture and safe return of Gracie the Giraffe.”
Anyone with any tips is encouraged to “contact Vick Jones at 830-279-5822 or the Real County Sheriff’s Office at 830-232-5201.”
Some Facebook followers couldn’t help but make jokes about the post and the description of the giraffe.
One person replied: “So if we see a giraffe with pointy ears, that’s not it…got it. (sic)”
Another joked: “I’m telling you right now, I’m going to keep the giraffe because there are no ordinances for giraffes in my town – and $5,000 isn’t enough to make me give it up.”
But other users think people should be more polite about this situation.
One follower commented: “How can you people be so ridiculous with your comments about there being a life missing. It’s not sarcasm. What if your pet was missing? Just saying? Please pray it gets better. (sic)”
