A street in Scotland was taped off by police officers this morning, June 25th. The cordon followed an incident in the early hours that sparked a major emergency response. Police closed parts of Durar Drive and Ardshiel Avenue in Edinburgh’s Clermiston area on Thursday morning, where several officers were seen patrolling the scene.
Pictures from EdinburghLive show police tape blocking access to parts of residential streets while officers investigate. A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told EdinburghLive there was “blood all over the street”. A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 8am on Thursday, June 25, 2026, we were called to reports of a serious assault on Ardshiel Avenue in Edinburgh. Emergency services attended and a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. Three men, aged 32, 34 and 60, were arrested in connection with the incident and inquiries are ongoing.” The man’s condition has not yet been confirmed. Police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack.
The cordon remained in place Thursday morning as officers continued their investigation.
Speaking to EdinburghLive, the anonymous resident added: “There are six police cars on the street and they’re all taped up. It’s a bit worrying to see something like this, at least first thing in the morning.”
In the images taken by reporters at the scene, uniformed police officers are seen standing guard in the area.
The extent of the 42-year-old man’s injuries was not disclosed by police.
