Prince Harry is expected to visit two surprise relatives during his trip to England with Meghan Markle and their two children next month. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to stay at the royal residence next month when they travel to England with their children Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet, the first family trip across the Atlantic in four years.
Harry, who has been living in Montecito, California since 2020, will travel to England to start the countdown for the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham in July 2027. But it looks like the King’s youngest son is planning to make the most of his five-day visit and is reportedly planning to introduce his children to “wider family” in the UK. Richard Kay, editor-in-chief of the Daily Mail, recently discussed such speculation and suggested who exactly might be visiting.

Speaking to Palace Confidential, Mr Kay said: “My guess is, and I must emphasize that it is only a guess… Spencer is referring to his family, namely his late mother’s sisters and brothers, whom he continued to keep track of throughout his years of exile in California.
“And again, the Spencers were in many ways a bit of a bridge between the Royal Family and Harry. They maintained a good relationship with them, they have a good relationship with William, for example.”
He continued and reported WalesOnline: “It’s been extremely difficult for them over the years to adjust to both factions of this truly divided family. Harry is particularly close to his aunts, his aunts, Jane and Sarah.”
“And I suspect that’s what you had in mind when you talked about the wider family.”

Despite his highly publicized rift with the House of Windsor, Prince Harry has always found a firm, quiet foothold in his late mother’s family, the Spencers, particularly the two sisters of Diana, Princess of Wales.
Her eldest aunt, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, maintains a deep maternal bond with her. She supported Harry through major milestones in his life, attending his wedding in 2018 and standing by his side at the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue at Kensington Palace in July 2021.
His other aunt, Lady Jane Fellowes, bridges the gap between Harry’s two worlds. Her late husband, Lord Robert Fellowes, was Queen Elizabeth II’s father during the turbulent 1990s. As Elizabeth’s private secretary, Jane has a unique understanding of royal pressures. Harry’s close bond with her was on full display during the single family reading at his wedding, and he was among the first to visit Harry and Meghan after Archie was born in May 2019.
When Prince Harry returned to London in May 2024 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, no senior members of the Royal Family attended. But Charles Spencer, Diana’s younger brother and the 9th Earl Spencer, and Sarah were with Harry at St Paul’s Cathedral. Harry also frequently used the Spencers’ ancestral home, Althorp House, as a private base when visiting the United Kingdom. When he secretly returned to the United Kingdom for the funeral of his uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, he remained with Charles at Althorp.
