ACT builder warranty: New $200,000 cap fails some home owners | The Canberra Times

The purpose of the warranty is to protect homeowners against financial loss if the builder they hire dies, disappears, or goes bankrupt before the job is completed. Before January 1, 2025, this limit was limited to $85,000, but now covers up to $200,000 of incomplete or defective work.
