Man charged with murder, torture after baby boy’s death in Bundaberg, Queensland

A man has been charged with murder and torture more than two years after the death of a boy in regional Queensland.

Police said the baby was taken to Bundaberg Hospital before being taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital on February 24, 2024.

The baby boy died in hospital just over a week later on March 3, 2024.

Police said a 22-year-old man from Kalkie, a suburb of Bundaberg, has been charged with murder (domestic violence) and torture (domestic violence).

He will appear in Bundaberg Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Investigations continue.
