While there was a severe flood in Accra, Ghana, a huge fire broke out in the Odorna market in the capital of the country. Following this morning’s heavy downpour, floods occurred in the Okponglo and Shiashie areas of the city.

The National Disaster Management Organization is leading emergency response efforts following the floods that affected the country. Affected areas include Accra, Tema and Kasoa. It is stated that citizens and residents are stranded after today’s rain.
