A newborn baby was found dead in a portable bathroom at a dance music festival in Michigan on Sunday, and organizers are now asking festivalgoers to come forward with information.
Organizers of the Electric Forest festival said: “It pains us to have to share this difficult news with you.” wrote Sunday night online. The statement stated that the organizers were “heartbroken” and included the following statements: “Michigan State Police continue to investigate this tragic incident, if you can help in any way.”

“If you are in the area and observed anything unusual or have information that you think may be relevant, we encourage you to come forward,” Michigan State Police said in a statement.
The statement also said: “We appreciate the public’s cooperation and ask people to refrain from speculation on social media out of respect for the investigation and those affected.”
The four-day festival ended Sunday night, hours earlier than expected. Organizers attributed the closure to severe weather conditions and resumed the event early Monday.
