Morgan Wallen puts Christian faith on display with Bible verse on cast at show

Morgan Wallen showed off his Christian faith at a recent concert by taking to the stage with a Bible verse written on a cast on his leg.
Shared videos and photos social mediaThe 33-year-old country star wore a black cast with the words “Joshua 2:21” from Scripture written in white during her show at Clemson University Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina, on Saturday.
Joshua 2:21 (KJV) reads: “And he said, ‘Let it be according to your words. And he sent them away, and they went away; and he fastened the scarlet cord to the window.’

This verse is part of the Old Testament story about Rahab, who hid two Israelite spies before the fall of Jericho. After the spies promised to spare her family, Rahab immediately tied a red cord to her window as a sign of their agreement.

In 2022, Wallen released his faith-based single “Don’t Think Jesus” on Good Friday. Other songs in his catalog that feature Biblical language and imagery include “I Wrote the Book”, “I Don’t Know the Devil”, “In the Bible”, “I Thought You Should Know” and “Genesis”.

In a December 2025 episode of his podcast “Last WeekendComedian Theo Vonn said he attended a Bible study with Wallen and described the singer as “an inspirational man” and “real.”

Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in Appalachia in 2024, Wallen wrote Psalm 40:2 on the exposed posts of a storm-ravaged house while its owners were rebuilding. He also visited flood victims in his hometown of East Tennessee, organized a food drive and donated $500,000 to relief efforts.

Following the November 2018 shooting at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, California, Wallen explained how he relied on his faith to cope with the tragedy.
“I don’t have any answers but in my personal opinion I am a person of faith and I believe that many people neglect God,” he said in an interview with . Taste of the Country.

“We don’t put the Ten Commandments in school anymore. We neglect everything, and people act like the Ten Commandments are some terrible thing. So it’s a way of living. I think we can all agree on what they say.”
He continued: “I believe in God. I believe He is real and I believe He has control over a lot of things and I think throughout history there have been many countries that have turned their backs on Him and the outcome is not very good. I hope we can figure something out.”
