Childcare worker allegedly assaulted boy at Hunter Valley centre

A childcare worker has been charged after allegedly assaulting a four-year-old child at a childcare center in NSW.

Police allege a four-year-old child was attacked at a childcare center on Paterson Road in Bolwarra on June 24.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested at her home in the Hunter Valley at around 1.30pm on Wednesday and charged with common assault and corporal punishment to a child.

He was released on conditional bail and will appear before Maitland Local Court on July 22.
