Ex-CIA Director John Brennan seeks court order requiring records from investigations be preserved

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former CIA Director John Brennan He sued the Trump administration on Wednesday, seeking a court order requiring it to preserve records of investigations that he said authorities targeted him for “imagined criminal conduct.”

Brennan said in the lawsuit: He said that if an indictment is filed by the administration in the future, the records will be necessary for him to defend himself on the grounds of revenge prosecution. His lawyers said such a defense would be supported by more than 100 oral or written statements. Defendants in the lawsuit include Trump and other top law enforcement officials in his administration. Deputy Attorney General Todd BlancheFBI Director Kash Patel and prosecutors in Florida who are overseeing investigations into Brennan and other perceived former enemies of Trump.
