Naidu Asks Officials to Turn Kuppam’s Net Zero Village into a Model for AP

Kuppam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday directed officials to turn Nalagampalli village in Kuppam constituency into a model for the state for successful implementation of ‘Net Zero’ practices. Net Zero refers to the situation where greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere are balanced by being removed.
“Naidu directed officials to make Nalagampalli village a model for the state as it has successfully implemented Net Zero,” an official press release said quoting the CM.
On the second day of his visit to the Kuppam constituency he represents, Naidu toured households implementing Net Zero and inspected solar roofing, solar power, induction cookers, rainwater harvesting, kitchen composting, terrace gardening and other practices.
Taking the Nalagampalli model as a case study, the Chief Minister directed officials to expand the Net Zero initiative across the constituency and called for electric vehicles (EVs) to be included in the Net Zero ambit.
Naidu said around 7,500 SC and ST families, 40,000 OBC families and over 7,000 OC families will benefit as part of the solar expansion in Kuppam.
Naidu directed officials to expand rooftop solar unit installation in Kuppam constituency to reduce “electrical energy expenditure”.
Later, CM inaugurated CT Scan and dialysis centers at Kuppam district hospital. He also made inspections at the hospital.
During the inspection, he inquired about Sanjeevani, a program to digitize health records, and asked the officials to ensure public satisfaction.
Naidu directed officials to compile reports assessing how Sanjeevani has benefited the people of Kuppam, among other instructions.
Additionally, Naidu instructed the police officials to crack down on marijuana and drug addiction, among other instructions.
