Prince Harry to stay at Buckingham Palace during UK visit

Prince Harry will reportedly stay at Buckingham Palace as part of his visit to England this week.

The Duke of Sussex is understood to be staying at both the royal property and private accommodation during his stay.

Prince Harry’s spokesman confirmed to the BBC that he had officially accepted the royal family’s invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace for part of his visit.

The Duke will no longer be accompanied by Meghan or her children when he arrives in the capital on Monday after his request for police protection was rejected.

It is understood no decision has yet been made on whether he will join her for the remainder of his five-day trip.

Their visit marked the one-year countdown to Harry’s Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham next July, and the Duchess of Sussex was expected to join her husband at various public events.

Family, Queen Elizabeth II. It was his first visit to the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

Harry was said to be “desperate” for seven-year-old son Archie and five-year-old daughter Lilibet to see their grandfather for the first time in four years.

It is not known whether King Charles will continue to see his grandchildren according to the revised schedule.

The visit will also be the first time Harry has seen his father in nine months, after having tea at Clarence House in September.

A source close to Harry and Meghan accused the Home Office and the committee responsible for assessing their safety of “deliberately creating conditions that made it almost impossible” for them to travel safely in the UK. Telegram was reported last month.

The source told the newspaper that Harry was awaiting a review of security requirements by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) but was informed that no review had taken place and all assessments had been “paused”.
