Reward offered after pet lamb wearing blue collar stolen from paddock in Dwellingup
The owner of a pet lamb is urging a thief to “have a heart” after recklessly stealing the animal from his property in broad daylight.
The lamb was wearing a blue collar with a bell when someone pulled up to a farm in Dwellingup, about an hour south of Perth, and took him away.
The owner made a desperate plea on social media, writing: “Please bring him back, no questions asked,” arguing that it was obvious to say the lamb was someone’s pet.
He also painted a picture of the person he believed took him.
“You got into a white/light colored duel cab rodeo or car with a similar body shape,” he wrote.
“He would run right at you. You could have thrown him over the fence, so you took him instead.”
The lamb owner asked the community to be wary of anyone randomly coming home with a lamb.
“If your loved one comes home from the mines or somewhere in the direction of Boddington tonight with a super friendly male lamb, it’s mine,” he said.
“Take a heart and bring it back.”
A reward is offered for his return.
