Eerie never-before-seen video shown in Tyler Robinson hearing as it’s revealed he spoke WITH Turning Point members and got Chick-fil-a before Charlie Kirk shooting: Live updates

Tyler Robinson’s defense suffered a major blow after the judge ruled that prosecutors could play never-before-seen footage of Charlie Kirk on the day he was killed.

After months of deliberation over the footage, Judge Tony Graf allowed footage of Robinson entering the parking lot, walking away, returning and leaving to be played in court today.

Former Utah State Bureau of Investigation agent David Hull described the footage as it was played in court, revealing that Robinson spoke with members of Kirk’s group, Turning Point USA, and picked up Chick-fil-A before the shooting.

Robinson’s parents appeared to be all smiles as they arrived for the second day of a pivotal evidentiary hearing where prosecutors are expected to hear testimony from his transgender girlfriend.

Kirk’s parents, Robert and Kathryn Kirk, looked somber when they arrived at the Utah courthouse on Tuesday; Meanwhile, his widow quietly entered through a private entrance after a dramatic first day in court.

Robinson, 23, is accused of fatally shooting Kirk during a conservative fiery speech in front of thousands of people at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025.

Prosecutors are expected to give an explosive statement from Lance Twiggs, Robinson’s transgender girlfriend who passed by Luna today.

Robinson allegedly confessed to Twiggs that he shot and killed Kirk before surrendering.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Robinson and are using the trial to prove he should be tried for murder.

Never-before-seen footage of Tyler Robinson’s moments on the day Charlie Kirk was assassinated is being shown in court.

The video shows a car that investigators say belongs to Robinson arriving on the Utah Valley University campus at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 10, 2025.

Former Utah State Bureau of Investigation agent David Hull said they identified the vehicle as Robinson’s based on information provided to them about his driver’s license and vehicle records.

The trial is expected to resume at 10:30 MT/12:30 ET.

Robinson interacted with Turning Point USA representatives before the shooting

Former Utah State Bureau of Investigation agent David Hull testified that Tyler Robinson interacted with members of Charlie Kirk’s group before the shooting.

Robinson allegedly went to an amphitheater and interacted with members of Turning Point USA before leaving.

Hull said he eventually returned to campus and picked up food at Chick-fil-A about two hours before the shooting.

Robinson contacted police when he returned to campus the day after the shooting

Footage shows Tyler Robinson’s vehicle being stopped by police on the Utah Valley University campus the day after Charlie Kirk was shot.

Robinson’s car was stopped by the police around 12:30 on September 11, and by running the license plate, the police officer determined that the car belonged to Robinson’s mother.

Hull testified that Robinson was walking with a limp.

Former agent David Hull said Robinson was seen in another video returning to campus wearing different clothes and limping along with one leg held mostly straight.

Robinson allegedly walked in front of the Losee building, then towards the area where he could access the roof of the building.

On Monday, former Utah Valley University Officer Chris Bagley testified that he saw a ‘sniper field’ among the gravel on the Losee building’s roof.

In another clip, a man believed to be Robinson is seen climbing onto a roof, running across it and then lying face down in a corner of the building.

The person then lowered himself from the roof at 12:44 a.m. and left the area with something in his hand, according to Hull.

Tyler Robinson bought Chick-fil-A on the day of the shooting

Former Utah State Bureau of Investigation agent David Hull testified that Tyler Robinson shopped at Chick-fil-A on the day of the shooting.

In other clips from the never-before-seen footage, Robinson is allegedly seen walking with a backpack and later seen without it.

Judge rules that footage of Charlie Kirk murder suspect running away from the scene can be played

Judge Tony Graf allowed footage of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin fleeing the scene after prosecutors lifted the regulations.

Graf initially dismissed the video Monday because the prosecution had altered it by zooming in on certain locations and drawing circles around certain items.

On Tuesday, prosecutors said they had lifted the regulations, and Graf agreed to allow the game to be played despite objections from the defense.

Tyler Robinson’s lawyers argued that releasing the video could affect his ability to get a fair trial.

The trial begins with discussions in the video

The second day of the key evidence hearing began with discussions over footage of the Charlie Kirk murder suspect running away from the scene.

Prosecutors brought former Utah State Bureau of Investigation agent David Hull back to the stand Tuesday to discuss the video.

Judge Tony Graf on Monday rejected the prosecution’s compilation of footage on the grounds that it had been edited.

But on Tuesday, prosecutors said they had lifted the regulations.

A lawyer representing the media intervened Tuesday to argue that the footage should be made public.

Who is Judge Tony Graf?

Utah Fourth District Court Judge Tony Graf is presiding over the trial against Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson.

Graf was appointed to the bench in May 2025 by Utah’s Republican Governor Spencer Cox.

“Tony Graf brings a steady attitude, strong ethics and the kind of judgment we trust in the Utah judiciary,” Cox said in a statement.

Graf previously worked as a prosecutor in Davis County, where he prosecuted physical and sexual abuse cases.

He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Utah.

When the hearing began, Judge Tony Graf confirmed he was there, but Charlie was not seen coming through the front entrance with his parents.

Who are Tyler Robinson’s family?

The parents of Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer Tyler Robinson continued to stand by their alleged assassin son as pre-trial hearings continued.

Matt and Amber Robinson appeared in court in Provo, Utah, this week as prosecutors began presenting evidence against their 23-year-old son, Tyler, in connection with the September 2025 assassination of Kirk.

Robinson’s father works as a construction worker and his mother is a maintenance worker.

Prosecutors said accused killer Tyler Robinson left a note confessing to the murder to his roommate and romantic partner, Lance Twiggs.

The note read, ‘I had the opportunity to beat Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.’

They also said he wrote a text message to Twigg about Kirk: ‘I’m sick of his hate. Some hatreds cannot be resolved through negotiation.’

However, before the hearing, Robinson’s transgender girlfriend, Twigg, was granted “use immunity” due to the statement she gave to the authorities on April 20.

Prosecutors plan to use the 22-year-old’s recorded testimony at today’s preliminary hearing, as well as his communications with Robinson around the time Kirk was killed.

The legal protection means that the statement Twiggs gave to authorities after Kirk’s death “cannot be used against her,” prosecutors said in the filing.
