It was revealed that Princess Raiyah bint Al-Hussein of Jordan had secretly separated from her husband Ned Donovan. The 40-year-old author married Ned, the grandson of late author Roald Dahl, in July 2020; this was the first royal wedding after the first Covid-19 lockdown.

The couple married last week at St Margaret’s Church in Babington, Somerset, according to the Daily Mail’s daily editor, Richard Eden.
Guests at Ned’s last wedding included his half-sister, the writer Sophie Dahl, and his godfather Sir Nicholas Coleridge, the new president of the King’s Foundation and principal of Eton College.
Following their wedding six years ago, Princess Raiyah shared two photos from their wedding day on her X account, formerly known as Twitter.
One photo showed her in her morning suit, sitting behind her new husband and signing the marriage certificate.
The wedding was initially planned for April 2020 but was later postponed due to the pandemic.
Following their wedding day, she wrote on social media: “Thank you all for your kind messages about our wedding!”
She added: “Although it was originally planned for April in Jordan, the pandemic disrupted those plans and it was safer for my husband’s family to celebrate in the UK. We look forward to celebrating in Jordan when the situation allows, God willing.”
The former couple married in an intimate ceremony at Queen Noor’s home in London, attended by a small number of guests, including the bride’s mother.
