Megan Rapinoe blames Trump for distracting US players ahead of World Cup loss to Belgium

Left blames Trump for USMNT World Cup defeat
Fox News’ Kellyanne Conway and Tomi Lahren reacted to sports fans who blame Donald Trump for the USMNT’s elimination from the World Cup by Belgium. They discuss the ‘Trump curse’ narrative and highlight Trump’s role in reversing the suspension of a senior player. Lahren defends the left’s ‘anti-America root’ and consistently blames Trump for national disruptions and failures.
Post-mortems continue regarding the US men’s national team’s exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and former US women’s national team player Megan Rapinoe is making an offer.
And you’ll never believe where you put the blame…
No, you guessed it, he blames President Trump.
MEDIA FIGURES THAT TRUMP IS INTERESTED IN FIFA ARE MELTING WITH USA’S STAR FOLAY BALOGUN PREPARING TO PLAY

One of the biggest stories of Monday’s game against Belgium involved US star Folarin Balogun receiving a red card and suspension.
Of course, almost everyone agreed that this was a terrible decision, and when the President called FIFA, they allowed Balogun to play using the same rule that allowed Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo to play under similar circumstances.
But obviously with Trump involved, the usual suspects weren’t too happy about it, and Rapinoe defended it on her podcast: “One More Touch: Beautiful Game,” distraction ruined the set. Meanwhile, the bookshelf behind him had features almost exactly as you’d expect.

“I think the distraction somehow rubbed off on the team. Whether it was the red card situation, whether it was this public conversation with the president, whether it was the shenanigans and chaos that came with the emotions on both sides. Whether you accept it or not, it’s like a lot to deal with,” Rapinoe said.
This is definitely an idea.
Rapinoe, who knows a thing or two about off-court distractions, argued that the problem is that the United States doesn’t have enough players willing to create off-court distractions by ranting about politics, as she often does.

“So not only do we not have a core of older players in this team who are used to it, but also none of these players talk about anything, for the most part,” he said. “I think in men’s football, as in general, there aren’t that many players choosing to use their platforms or expand their scope of pressure and responsibility.”

Here you go, friends. The problem wasn’t that you faced a tough Belgian team or maybe it wasn’t your day.

You just have to be a lot more annoying and create distractions, so when there’s a little distraction off the field you get used to it.
I’m not sure if Rapinoe wants to get into coaching at some point, but that method might not get her a lot of work.
