Trump claims 1000 missiles aimed at Iran, if he’s hurt

Returning to his harshest rhetoric on the war, Donald Trump said he had ordered the military to be ready to strike against Iran if the Iranian government assassinates or attempts to assassinate the US president.
“1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and are targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, and there are thousands of missiles that will follow immediately if the Government of Iran acts on the threat declared in many corners of the world to assassinate or attempt to assassinate the sitting President of the United States, in this case ME,” he said in a post on Truth Social.
“The orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing and able to completely destroy and destroy all areas of Iran for a period of one year, subject to extension.”
The threat came after open calls for Trump’s death were seen at the funeral of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei; This further underlined that the tensions gripping the Middle East are a temporary agreement to end the war that has repeatedly caught the region in the crossfire.
Trump made his comments on Truth Social after senior US officials demanded that Iran make a statement that the Strait of Hormuz is open and that ships passing through the vital corridor will no longer be attacked.
Tehran has not done this so far; instead he insisted that the route remain under his control and that ships passing through it be allowed to load, upending decades of precedence over the strait as an international waterway.
In addition to the US air strikes targeting Iran, Iran’s retaliatory fire targeting countries in the Middle East continued for days. These attacks were sparked by Iran’s attack on three ships in the strait earlier this week.
