Ms Rachel backs kindergarteners in hijabs after Trump reshares clip

Children’s YouTube star “Miss Rachel” has been embroiled in a political controversy after opposing President Donald Trump for sharing a viral video showing several children wearing hijabs at a Minnesota kindergarten graduation.

“Miss Rachel” whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso I took it to Instagram To express your support for kindergarten students who wear hijabs.

“I saw some of you wearing hijabs at your graduation,” she wrote on Tuesday. “I’m glad you’re wearing something meaningful and special for you and your family. I think hijabs are beautiful. Different kids wear different things that are part of their culture and religion, like hijabs, kippahs, or cross necklaces. Some kids don’t wear anything that’s part of their religion or non-religious.”

The post also appeared to take an indirect jab at the president, writing without mentioning his name: “No one’s hurtful words can take away our worth and value! Just because someone says something doesn’t mean it’s true!”

Accurso, which became famous by producing educational videos for children, 20.5 million subscribers on YouTube, She has around 9.3 million TikTok followers and more than 5 million followers on Instagram.

His reaction came later Trump reshared graduation video at Truth Social. The clip was previously shared by X account End Wokeness, and the video was posted in St. Paul claimed to be pointing to a school in Minnesota and said: “Every girl wears a headscarf… in kindergarten.” He used the title.

Trump did not include a caption when he reposted the clip, which showed several young children wearing headscarves wearing blue graduation gowns with the words “kindergarten graduation” written on them. More than a dozen of the children shown are wearing headscarves, or headscarves, traditionally worn by Muslim women.

Accurso’s post also noted that she attended numerous celebrations of different faiths last year, including a Hanukkah celebration, a holiday brunch, and her own family’s Easter and Christmas celebrations.

The post continued: “If anyone says something hurtful about something you’re wearing, tell an adult you trust. This will help us keep our communities and the world safe.”

This is not Accurso’s first step into the political arena. Earlier this year, he visited an immigration detention facility in Newark, N.J., where he met with separated families and described the children there as “traumatized.” He has also previously faced backlash for his advocacy surrounding children in Gaza.

Accurso got into trouble in January for liking the antisemitic comment under one of his Instagram posts that read, “Save America from the Jews.” He explained the issue in a statement to Fox News Digital at the time:

“[On Wednesday]I accidentally liked a hateful comment on my social media while trying to delete it. I’ve always been completely open about this; “I do not support language that targets or harms the Jewish community or any community,” he said.

“Anti-Semitism and hatred of any kind have no place in my life or work,” Accurso continued. “Everything I do is rooted in kindness, inclusion, and concern for all humanity. These values ​​guide me every day, and I hold fast to them.”
