Royal Family LIVE: Inside Harry and Meghan’s UK trip as ‘tempers frayed’ after ‘errors’ | Royal | News

The Duke of Sussex’s visit to England this week has been described as a “comedy of errors”, with so much going wrong since the prince landed in the country on Monday. While Harry was reportedly initially hoping for a dream trip to his hometown with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, things didn’t go as planned.
Instead of the whole family flying together on Monday, Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were delayed until the weekend because the family was not given armed police protection. On Friday, Harry finally joined his family in England, where he was reunited with King Charles. It meant Harry, 41, was alone in England for much of the week, dealing with a variety of “complicated matters”, from not being able to stay at Buckingham Palace to losing a case.
Speaking about the chaotic UK trip, The Telegraph’s Deputy Royal Editor Victoria Ward wrote about how both Harry and his royal relatives were “tempered” following the drama surrounding Harry this week, including issues surrounding his stay at the Palace. Harry later said that although he had dreamed of the return of armed police guard and tea at Buckingham Palace, that was not the reality.
He said: “The reality, it seemed, was akin to a Benny Hill heist, a comedy of errors in which the whole journey slowly unraveled through bitter recriminations.”
