Pupil accused of stabbing teacher took knife to school for a game, court told

The court said that a teenager accused of stabbing his teacher in the head took a knife to school as part of the game he was playing with his friends.
The 16-year-old, whose name has not been released, said he was displaying household items, Swansea Crown Court was told.
Teacher Vicki Williams I told the court before the boy followed him to class to ask for help with his history study and then “threw” at him.
The incident occurred at Milford Haven Comprehensive School in Pembrokeshire on February 5.
While the student denied the allegations of attempted murder, intentional wounding and unlawful wounding, he admitted to possessing a knife.

The boy, who took the stand in a light blue shirt and dark blue trousers, told the jury he and his friends brought “random household items” to school to see what they could “get away from”.
When asked why he chose the largest knife from the knife block he had at home, he said he wanted “the most impressive knife to show to his friends.”
When asked by the defense attorney if he wanted the teachers to discover this, he said “no.”
The defendant was asked if he intended to use it in a violent manner or deliberately cause injury to Williams, but he answered “no.”
Swansea Crown Court heard he chose to study history and denied any ill-feelings between him and Williams.
He also denied having any bad arguments or falling out with her.
The court heard the teenager, who was 15 at the time of the incident, said he considered Williams a “good” teacher.
The trial continues.
