AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) extended his party’s support to the ongoing protest of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar and urged climate activist Sonam Wangchuk to end her indefinite hunger strike.

At a press conference, Mr. Kejriwal said he will visit Jantar Mantar on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 5 pm to extend his support to Mr. Wangchuk and the CJP protest.

Former Delhi Chief Minister said, “Sonam Wangchuk has been on hunger strike for several days and her health is deteriorating. She is an asset of the country and I appeal to her to end her hunger strike. There are other ways to fight.”

AAP said it supports the CJP protest and demands and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign immediately.

Mr. Kejriwal added that the examination system needs to be improved to address paper leaks and protect students from facing problems in the future.

AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi met Mr Wangchuk at Jantar Mantar on Monday (July 14).

CJP is holding a protest at Jantar Mantar demanding Mr. Pradhan’s resignation over alleged irregularities in NEET and other exams. Wangchuk joined the agitation on June 28 and has been on an indefinite fast since then.
