UK economy returns to growth in May

Latest official data showed that the UK economy grew by 0.1% in May.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the moderate increase was driven by growth in Britain’s services sector, but was offset by declines in the manufacturing and construction sectors.
This comes after the economy contracted slightly in April as the US-Israeli war with Iran began to impact businesses.
The ONS said the economy grew by 0.7% in the three months to May compared to the previous three months.
