NRIs turning to India for high-quality quality affordable healthcare, customers up 150% YoY in FY25: Report

New Delhi [India]July 28 (Memorial): According to the data published by the politician, non -resident Indians (NRIs) choose India as a target for high quality and affordable health services.

The data showed a significant growth of 150 percent in the share of NRI customers in the 2024-25 financial year.

“India is rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most sought -after medical tourism centers. Growth can be seen with more NRI returning to India to access high quality health services. Our data shows 150 percent general growth in NRI customers’ share in 25 FY”.

One of the main reasons behind the data report is the increase in India for medical treatments compared to countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom.

For example, heart bypass surgery in India may be between USD and USD $ 8,000, the same procedure in the USA is between $ 70,000 and USD $ 150,000.

Similarly, knee prosthesis surgery is only $ 4,000 to 6,000 in India compared to $ 30,000 to USD and $ 50,000 in the USA

In India, a liver transplant is priced between 25,000 USD and 35,000 USD, while US $ 500,000 in USD $ 500,000 in the USA

NRIs, which prefer elective procedures in India, typically have average demand amounts. For more complex surgeries, allegations can rise to USD $ 20,000 to USD 40,000 and still represent significant savings compared to international health costs.

The acquisition factor also extends to health insurance premiums. In India, the average annual health insurance premium per capita varies between USD 120 and US $ 300. On the other hand, the same scope in the United States can exceed US $ 8,000 in the year, ranging from USD $ 4,000 to 5,000 USD in GCC countries.

This important difference has led to a visible increase in online searches that investigate NRIs’ health insurance options in India for themselves and their families.

The data also reveals a 125 percent increase in the share of female NRI customers and a 148 percent increase in the number of NRI customers under 35 years of age. This showed that younger NRIs and women think of more and more Indian health services as a preferred choice.

In the case of preferred places for treatment, Southern India continues to dominate the list in all layers. Cities such as Mumbai, Calcutta, Pune and Thana gain popularity among NRI patients.

With a combination of quality maintenance, advanced medical infrastructure and significant cost benefits, India is rapidly emerging as a leading center for its medical needs. (MOMENT)
