Two US troops killed and one missing after Iranian attack in Jordan

Two US soldiers were killed and one was missing following Iranian ballistic missile and drone strikes in Jordan on Friday, military officials said.

US Central Command (Centcom) said four US soldiers were medically evacuated to hospitals in Jordan but were later discharged. Those who were slightly injured returned to their duties.

The Jordanian army had previously announced that it had intercepted 10 Iranian missiles fired into its airspace overnight without reporting any damage.

The US military said it launched a seventh consecutive night of strikes against Iran since President Donald Trump declared the temporary ceasefire agreement “over”.

The latest deaths follow the death of a US Navy pilot who went missing earlier this month; This brings the death toll of Americans in the ongoing war with Iran to 14.
