Lebanese soldier killed when vehicle hits explosive

A Lebanese soldier died and an officer and a soldier were injured when a suspicious object exploded in a military vehicle in the town of Mansouri in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army said in a statement on Saturday that the vehicle drove into an explosive device in the Al-Mansouri area, adding that an investigation determined that the device did not belong to the Israeli army and was most likely placed there by Hezbollah.
The Israeli army said that its soldiers had not been in the area recently and that the Lebanese army vehicle entered what it described as a security zone without prior coordination with Israel, as required by the existing coordination mechanism.
The Lebanese army said it was continuing to investigate the incident and did not provide further details.
