INDIA bloc vows to demand accountability from govt on Ram temple donation ‘theft’, paper leaks

New Delhi, The opposition INDIA bloc on Monday vowed to demand accountability from the government on issues such as Ram temple endowment “theft” and “systematic collapse” of the education system, asserting that the fight for people’s rights will be carried out with full force.

Leaders in the INDIA bloc met in the Leader of Opposition chamber in Mallikarjun Kharge of the Rajya Sabha before the start of the Monsoon session of Parliament and discussed the opposition’s strategy.

Besides Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, Congress deputy leader in Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh, Samajwadi Party’s Dharmendra Yadav, NCP (SP)’s Supriya Sule, TMC’s Saugata Roy and Sagarika Ghose, Shiv Sena (UBT)’s Sanjay Raut, JMM’s Mahua Maji were present in the meeting. CPI(M)’s John Brittas and P Santhosh Kumar also participated.

In a post published on X after the meeting, Kharge said that from today in the Monsoon session of Parliament, the Congress party and the INDIA bloc will raise the voice of the people and demand answers from the Modi government on every issue.

“Whether it is a matter of theft of donations for the Shri Ram Temple or cheating of the faith – millions of devotees devotedly donated their hard-earned money towards the construction of the temple; they deserve justice, immediately conduct an independent investigation and make the entire account public.

“Or be it paper leaks or systematic collapse of the education system, there have been 152 paper leaks since 2014, 25 children have lost their lives. Dharmendra Pradhan will have to be removed from office,” the Congress chief said.
Similarly, he said the issue of the government’s imposition of forced ethanol blending on 3.5 crore vehicle owners, which he termed as an “experiment”. Kharge asked if looting people’s hard-earned money was the only tool of the BJP.

He stated that in addition to these issues, other important issues and future draft laws are questions that will affect the people of the country.

Kharge said, “INDIA opposition will demand accountability from the government on every issue. The fight for people’s rights, people’s voice and people’s trust will be fought with full force.” he said.
