A man described as an anti-ICE activist was taken into custody Monday morning after setting off fireworks and wielding two air rifles outside an immigration court building in lower Manhattan, five law enforcement sources told MS NOW.
Sources told MS NOW that two people were injured and treated at the scene, while one person was taken into custody.
The FBI told CNBC early Monday that a person detonated an “incendiary device” outside 26 Federal Plaza, which includes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. field office.
It was stated that the FBI’s New York Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating the incident that occurred outside 26 Federal Plaza.
The New York Police Department’s public information office told CNBC that “someone set off fireworks” in front of the immigration office building.
