The professional football player described what happened as follows: “He (Prince Harry) came in and said, ‘Yes Crouchy, how did you bag Abby?’ he said.

“I wish I had told him, ‘You can talk. I wasn’t fast enough!'”

“It was obvious that he was a prince. I was surprised by that.”

This comment about Crouch’s wife, Abbey Clancy, was made before Harry started dating Meghan Markle.

But a video of Crouch recalling the moment in a recent podcast led some to criticize Harry for making the comment 11 years ago.

One person wrote to X: “Entitled and rude.”

Another said: “It was so rude! Harry suggests Crouchy isn’t good enough and talks about women as if they’re some sort of ‘play sport’ to ‘get screwed’.”
