Bigfoot ‘throws boulder at jogger’ in Washington

A motorist claims to have seen a large “furry” creature following a jogger in Washington state.

The witness, identified only as Gael, was driving through the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in the southwestern part of the state in May when he noticed a “reddish-brown furry figure” lurking in a berm at the edge of the forest and noticed falling debris and a heavy rock that appeared to have been pushed down the hill near where a woman was running at the bottom of the hill.

Gael reported this sighting to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) and wrote: “I was driving in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest on Wind River Road, about 1-2 miles south of Hemlock Road (north of Carson).

“I noticed debris falling off the side of the road and a large boulder falling in the ditch. “I looked up the embankment to see what had caused it.

“I was traveling at about 50 miles per hour, so visibility was very brief. I saw a reddish-brown furry figure standing at the edge of the embankment.

“The land behind it was covered in dense forest. It was hard to tell its height because I was driving and I couldn’t see a face. It may have had its back to me, but it was standing upright and definitely not a human or a bear…

“My first instinct was that the braver one was pushed down the embankment.”

In an interview with researcher Matthew Moneymaker, Gael added that the rock landed near where the runner was running, but the woman did not notice the large hairy creature standing at the top of the hillside.

Moneymaker explained: “I spoke with witness Gael K. He is an excellent and reliable witness and the story turned out to be more interesting than what he wrote…

“He says it definitely wasn’t a deer or a bear or a human. It looked like a huge bird. He thinks it might be young because it’s not super tall and huge.”

“It was about the size of a human. Its fur color is light brown but slightly more orange than bark brown. At closest viewing it was roughly 12 meters away…

“He was paying attention to the road ahead as he approached because he saw a runner up ahead running along the side of the highway. He saw rocks and dust coming down the embankment as if there had been a small rockslide.”

“Right below the stream of dust and rock, a large rock was sitting on the side of the highway, as if it had fallen there… Gael estimated that the rock was about 4 feet by 2 feet. It was not a small rock…”

He added: “After noticing the rockslide dust and small rocks coming down the berm, he followed that path with his eyes to the top of the berm and saw the sasquatch standing motionless just above the rockslide.

“When he approached, his back was to her, so his body was oriented to face the runner approximately 100 feet down the highway… The rockslide may have occurred after the runner passed this point, but the runner did not notice, or at least did not appear to care…

“I asked Gael about the runner. The runner was a woman with her hair in a ponytail. She was small and wore pink shorts. Her back was turned to Gael as Gael approached. She had red hair.

“I brought up the possibility to Gael that the huge boulder might have pushed the large boulder over the edge of the embankment as the women joggers passed by. Gael said it was entirely possible.”
