“I think of Douglas MacArthur in Japan,” the senator said in an exclusive “Ruthless” interview. Released Tuesday morning.

“I was lucky to live in the same house he occupied for six years while he was stationed there. He fought the Korean War after the Reconstruction of Japan. I often wonder what would have happened if Truman hadn’t fired him, if MacArthur had been allowed to finish the damn job.” “We wouldn’t be dealing with a lot of the things we’re dealing with right now. And President Trump is going to finish the damn thing.”

The divine providence that saved Trump’s life is a guiding force in the administration’s approach to the current war, Hagerty said.

“You brought me back to Sunday morning when President Trump was shot in Butler. [Pennsylvania],” Hagerty said. “I was on the phone with him for about 20 minutes. I told him you could be the most important president we’ve ever had, and I think he’s up to the task; he realizes but wouldn’t be here without God’s grace and takes on tough problems. “He doesn’t back down from anything.”

“Ruthless” co-host Josh Holmes shared Hagerty’s concerns about Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.

“I think what I’m most pleased with about President Trump’s decision to do this is that he’s the first president to decide, ‘I’m not leaving this to another administration,'” Holmes said. “It’s going to get worse. It’s going to continue to get worse. If you take October 7, you take away all the financing of Hamas and Hezbollah. If they get nuclear weapons and everything else, who knows where it will go from there. We already know their intentions. This is not something to ignore.”
