The Duchess of Sussex twirled around a flower cart as she enjoyed a low-key day at the garden center after appearing as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia on Sunday.

Meghan, 44, posted a photo of herself browsing among potted plants and sipping a cup of coffee yesterday as they enjoyed a quieter weekend in Montecito.

The mother of two usually wore a navy blue J-Crew. overalls$250 Anine Bing jeans and $350 suede loafers from Veronica Beard, along with a pair of sunglasses.

She styled her hair in a ponytail and accessorized it with a stylish ‘Sestri’ headband from California-based brand Dôen.

It was a relaxing weekend for Prince Harry’s wife, who appeared on an episode of MasterChef Australia that aired on Sunday.

Actual filming took place in April when the Sussexes visited Down Under, and the cooking show’s social media channels also shared some behind-the-scenes footage of the process.

Elsewhere in the episode, the Duchess told viewers her husband Harry is a ‘real meat and potatoes man’.

She also revealed that while the Duke prefers comfort food, he can also ‘handle a really good curry’.

When asked what her favorite food is, Meghan said it’s a “tough one because I have so many palettes to satisfy.”

While she preferred grilled fish, she added: ‘Since my husband is from England, he loves meat, potatoes and creamy sauces.

‘As a California girl, I love grilled fish, grilled meats and citrus fruits. I really like to use a lot of pure natural herbs and spices. I love heat in my food, anything spicy. HE [Harry] It can handle a really good curry. Regardless of the season, we barbecue a lot. ‘The kids are eating great food, we’re very lucky about that.’

After trying a contestant’s celery-based dish, Meghan said: ‘I mentioned my husband is a real meat and potatoes man. This feels like its most elegant, upgraded version. H would love this dish.’

Meghan said, “My husband is here,” prompting cheers and shocked facial expressions from the contestants. He later described her as a ‘wizard’.

Contestants were tasked with transforming a basic ingredient into a dish ‘fit for a duchesses’, but she urged her fellow judges to ‘call me Meghan’.

After being introduced as a guest judge by MasterChef host Poh Ling Yeow, Meghan walked onto the set in a black silk shirt and pencil skirt.

She talked about her children and said Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, are ‘great eaters’ and even love Brussels sprouts.

Talking about her garden, she said if the children say, ‘Mama, can I have dessert?’ ‘If you can choose, you can have it,’ he replies.

For Meghan’s guest spot, contestants on the popular show were asked to create a ‘Duchess-worthy meal’ using ingredients she carefully selected from her pantry.

She asked them to create a dish using honey, macadamia nuts, citrus, celery, and her favorite edible flowers.

During the programme, Meghan offered the highest praise to finalist Petro Papathomas, saying his celery ice cream dessert with pickled apples and hazelnut crumble was of exceptional quality.

‘The execution is very nice. To be so creative and brave, to create something new, you did it! Sounds very Michelin star to me,’ Meghan told Petro, who reached the semi-finals.

‘I don’t like cooking this way; “I really like to cook in a relaxed way,” he said.

‘So all I can say to the contestants is to remember to have fun, keep a sense of humor about it and cook from the heart.’

In a sweet nod to her children, Meghan added, ‘Food and cooking are how I show my care and love for my friends, my family, and my children.’

He told the contestants: ‘Our hope is that you really focus on one. [item] as your hero item. These are all things that make me feel really nostalgic. And I love if there’s a connection you can find when you cook something and ask the question: What’s the story behind this? It almost feels like an heirloom, right? ‘What is something sentimental from your family or a memory that we can taste while tasting your food?’

Meghan said her love of good food and Australia were two reasons she chose to be a guest judge on the country’s biggest cooking show.

‘What drew me to the cuisine of MasterChef Australia? Two things: my love for food and my love for Australia. “It was an easy yes,” he said in a press release announcing the release date.

‘This is a great show. ‘I’m truly honored to be asked to be here with you and review some of these dishes.’

Meghan earned a surprise Daytime Emmy nomination for her Netflix cooking series With Love Meghan, for whom she reportedly ‘politely declined’ the award invitation.

In addition to promoting her lifestyle brand As Ever, she launched the first series on the streaming platform in March 2025.

A second series and Christmas special followed; The mother of two was offering hosting tips and cooking lessons from a rented multimillion-dollar mansion near the Montecito home she shares with Harry.
