Man charged with murder over wife’s kayak drowning death claims pair not wearing life jackets as they were ‘eaten by rats’, court told

A former Australian Army expert accused of the murder of his wife after drowning on a canoe trip, told the police that they did not wear life vests for their “defeat by the rats” in their old homes.
54 -year -old Jacqueline Davidson could not be revived on November 27, 2020 after drowning with her husband Graeme Davidson, near Forgan Cove in the Gulf of the Moreton Bay of Queensland.
Following a long police investigation, 55 -year -old Davidson was arrested later in this year and was accused of murder.
He is also facing fraud and faced the attempt to fraud, which is confronted with the allegations to try to demand more than $ 1 million after his wife’s death, including an unpaid amount.
During the bail application at the Brisbane Supreme Court on Thursday, defense lawyer Craig Eberhardt Kc said that Jacqueline has no evidence that it was “violently attacked”.
Although there were some small caries, they were consistent with CPR attempts and attempts to save Mr. Davidson’s wife’s body.
Through a statement opened to the court, Mr. Davidson emphasized on the boat and tried to “show” when his wife and his wife were “10 meters separate” on the water.
“Jacqueline was upset about it and used the ‘safe word’… Designed to report what he was worried about what he was doing, Mr. Mr. Eberhardt read his court document.
Mr. Davidson told Mr Davidson that his wife saw that he was “fell out of the boat, and he entered the water to find him – but he couldn’t see it because the water was full of“ dark ”and grass was full of weeds.
“After a while, he managed to find him and dragged him out, Mr Mr. Eberhardt said.

Mr. Eberhardt shouted wildly that his client was trying to revive him, and one shouted wildly to attract the attention of the audience called ambulance.
According to Mr. Davidson, the couple did not wear life vests in their homes in Bondi before returning to Queensland.
“There is evidence in an expression of this effect (a woman), Eber Eberhardt said.
After Mr. Davidson was arrested, the police said they would claim that the relationship between the Army Major and his wife was destroyed in court.

Mr Eberhardt told the court that Ms. Davidson discovered that her husband had a relationship with a woman in Papua New Guinea in 2019.
He said that the discovery was withdrawn from an important marriage between the couple, but Mr. Davidson was “determined” to stay in the relationship.
There was no evidence of domestic violence between the couple.
Referring to the allegations surrounding the allegations of life insurance of his client, Eberhardt said that in mid -20120, Davidsons had taken mutual policies in favor of each other.
“There is no evidence that the establishment of insurance policies is the idea of the applicant,” he said.
Mr. Davidson tried to access his wife’s life insurance after his death, but Mr. Eberhardt said it was “remarkable ve and would be more suspicious if he had not reached.
The court was told to Mr. Davidson that one of the children was at home in the backyard of his house in CCTV.
Mr. Eberhardt said that his client had bought a new car after Jacqueline’s death, but it was done after discussions for a while.
Bail application will continue on Friday.
