Panchayat Secretaries Caught Faking Attendance with Photos
In the event of a surprising abuse of government participation systems, several Panchayat secretaries throughout the state records their daily participation in fraudulent ways using a face recognition -based mobile application. Authorities found that some secretaries have jumped face -to -face participation by uploading repeated or indifferent photos, including empty chairs and even a photo of Prime Minister A. Revanth Redy.
It turned out that several officials delivered their mobile phones to other personnel to upload participation from unauthorized places. This practice initiated audits by led to the exposure of common participation fraud.
On the other hand, the state ordered a strict action of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Seethakka. He directed the department director Srujana to initiate disciplinary measures and instructed the regional collectors to suspend those who were trying to falsify their participation records.
The rapidly moving collector suspended the Secretary of Bhimaram Village of Farook Nagar Mandal in Rangarereddy region and Singampal Secretary of Amangal Mandal Jangayya. Authorities confirmed official charges against 40 Panchayat Secretary and were suspended more.
