SC Declines Plea on AP Court Relocation

New Delhi: Underlining the need for “justice at the door”, the Supreme Court refused to make an objection to a session court from Machilipatnam to Avangadda on Friday to the shift of Andhra Pradesh to Avanigadda in the Krishna region. He retreated by the petition owner.
Two judges of India’s chief justice BR Gavai and Justice K. Vinod Chandran said, “When a new court is established, lawyers are always opposing. The courts are not only for lawyers, but for cases primarily.
Ashok Kumar, the petition who perceives the mood of the counter, withdrew the defense.
The petition challenged the decision of the Andhra Pradesh Supreme Court to transfer the VI Additional Zone and Session Court from Machilipatnam to Avanigadda.
While Machilipatnam rejected the objection of the Association of Bar Associations to displace, the Supreme Court said that the movement could serve the local lawyers, but ultimately would serve the plaintiffs’ wider interests.
