California, other states sue Trump over order threatening gender-affirming care providers

The coalition of California and other liberal leaderships, Trump administration on Friday, was a lawsuit against LGBTQ+ patients, healthcare providers and states of the states for termination of gender care for transgender, intersex and non-secondary children and young adults throughout the country.
The case was brought by California Atty. Authorities from General Rob Bonda and 15 other states and Columbia Region. He challenged an executive order on January 28th, condemning President Trump’s care -causing care as “injury, and called on the US Ministry of Justice officials to effectively force a ban, including starting an investigation of healthcare providers.
Last month, the Ministry of Justice said that the Ministry of Justice sent more than 20 courts to doctors and clinics that provide such a care throughout the country and claimed that justice authorities may encounter criminal prosecution.
Bonda’s office said in a statement that such efforts have no legal basis and aims to prevent the providing life -saving health services in accordance with the state law ”. The case requires a federal court in Massachusetts to evacuate Trump to undermine state laws that guarantee equal access to federal authority and equal access to health services.
The White House did not respond immediately to the request for a comment on Friday.
Trump has made restraint on transsexual rights into an important promise of the presidential campaign. After taking office, he moved this quickly through executive orders, financing deductions and lawsuit. And in many ways, it worked when it comes to gender care, especially for minors.
Clinics, which provide such care throughout the country, closed their doors in response to threats and financing cuts. This includes the famous TransouTh Health and Development Center at Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, one of the largest and oldest pediatric gender clinics in the United States.
Clinic, thousands of patients and their families said he closed last month. Other clinics are similarly closed throughout the country and radically reduced the existence of such care in the USA.
Republicans and other Trump supporters applauded their closing as a great victory and praised the President for protecting impressive and mixed children from Alert Medical Specialists who forced what they claim to be dangerous and irreversible treatments.
Bonda said on Friday, Trump and his administration on this kind of care “brutal attacks” “cruel and irresponsible ve and“ health and prosperity is already at risk, said that the already vulnerable adolescents ”.
“These actions had a creepy impact that these actions have put pressure to return to their care for the fear of prosecution and left countless people without critical care and have the right according to the law, Bond said.
Main current US Medical Associations supported gender care for minors who have been gender dysphoria for years. They and LGBTQ+ Rights organizations accused Trump and their supporters of misconducting this care for social transition, including therapy, counseling and support for social transition, and may include adolescents, hormone therapy and more rare cases.
Queer defenders, many patients and their families, transsexual and other young people who are not suitable for gender, alleviating intense distress and suicide thoughts, such a care is life -saving. They and many mainstream medical experts accept that gender is still a developing area for young people, but at the same time, it is based on fundamental research by politicians who are much better equipped to help families make difficult medical decisions.
However, since the number of children who have been transsexual or neutral in recent years has increased rapidly, this argument has not been kept in many parts of the country. Conservatives and Republican leaders were more concerned about this kind of way by pointing to young people who changed their ideas about the transition and now regretted them.
Some of these young people, including Chloe Cole, a well -known “Detranitioner from California, are among the most vocal supporters of the administration. In an article in X last month, Cole praised the closure of the children’s clinic in LA as the beginning of the end of gender care in liberal states, “Let’s finish the job!”
The war was partly played in the courts as a matter of rights of a state. In June, the Supreme Court decided that conservative states could prohibit adolescence blockers and hormone treatments for transsexual youth, and the conservative majority of the court found that states are often free to determine their own medical care standards.
However, the Trump administration did not receive the same opinion. Instead, as in California, he tried to eliminate gender care throughout the country, regardless of the state laws that protected it.
Trump’s January 28, “protecting children from chemical and surgical injury,” the manager order, “Medical experts, adults, a number of irreversible medical interventions of a child can change the gender of a radical and incorrect allegedly crippled and sterilizing children,” he said.
He described children as everyone under the age of 19, and by progressing, one of the United States ‘financing from one gender to another’ financing, sponsor, or supporting or supports it, but “this destructive and life -changing procedures will be applied meticulously all the laws that prohibit or limit the procedures of life”.
The case of the states focuses on a certain part of this order that rules Atty. General Pam Bondi, gender care providers and “may be misleading about the long -term side effects of chemical and surgical injury” to start researching other groups to gather state lawyers and other law enforcement officers to start researching.
The department suggested that these studies could be based on the laws of food, drugs and cosmetic action, which authorizes food and medicine management for food, drugs, medical devices and cosmetics.
On July 9, Bondi announced his courts to the Ministry of Justice’s healthcare providers and said to doctors and hospitals, “the children who are torn apart from the service of a distorted ideology.”
On July 25, Times said that Bill Essayli, the controversial election of the Trump administration for the US lawyer in LA, contained the idea of accusing doctors and hospitals to provide gender care, according to two federal law enforcement sources speaking on condition of anonymity for Risans fear.
The aim of the gender -causing care is part of a wider effort to eliminate the transgender rights of the administration in part, in a broadest way in the pioneer of transsexual people. On his first day, Trump issued another executive order that declared only two sexes.
The management tried to limit the options that transsexual people reflect their identities, and the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit against California for policies that allow transsexual girls to compete against other girls in youth sports. Many transgender American countries are looking for ways to escape.
Nevertheless, many people in the LGBTQ+ community are afraid that the attacks will worse. Among the most scared ones are the parents of transsexual children, including those who believe that the Ministry of Justice may have been gathered under the court of court.
A mother of a pediatric hospital patient told Times last month that the Ministry of Justice would use the law of genital disability to prosecute parents and separate me from my child ”.
Bonda said that his office did not hear that any parent was targeted, but that the Trump administration did not exclude it as a possibility, given the actions of the current actions.
“If they want to use the laws that do not exist to attack the providers, what will they prevent parents from pursuing these cultural wars?” Bonda said at a news conference on Friday morning.
Bonda leads the case with Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts and New York Chief Prosecutors. Pennsylvania government Josh Shapiro and Delaware General Lawyers, Columbia region, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.
